It's A Fault in Their Stars. The world is cruel indeed.
Burst into tears throughout the movie.
Well, should read the book as well..it must be good.
There's one thing i wanna talk about this movie, about Augustus Waters.
He has that one Fear.
“Augustus, perhaps you’d like to share your fears with the group.”“My fears?”“Yes.”“I fear oblivion,” he said without a moment’s pause. “I fear it like the proverbial blind man who’s afraid of the dark.”“Too soon,” Isaac said, cracking a smile.“Was that insensitive?” Augustus asked. “I can be pretty blind to other people’s feelings.”So, this is what Hazel said to him.
“There will come a time when all of us are dead. All of us. There will come a time when there are no human beings remaining to remember that anyone ever existed or that our species ever did anything. There will be no one left to remember Aristotle or Cleopatra, let alone you. Everything that we did and built and wrote and thought and discovered will be forgotten and all of this will have been for naught. Maybe that time is coming soon and maybe it is millions of years away, but even if we survive the collapse of our sun, we will not survive forever. There was time before organisms experienced consciousness, and there will be time after. And if the inevitability of human oblivion worries you, I encourage you to ignore it. God knows that’s what everyone else does.”
I understand that everyone needs attention, and being cared of or being noticed of or whatever it is, I myself need it too. We all are humans, we have a self caring button or self victimized button to make ourselves felt better, we will start to demean ourselves, or start to complain about our lives, our situation to get the "pampering" from our friends and family. Sometimes a "are you okay?" "yeah, life is so unfair towards you!" "oh my dear, you suffered lots." will comforts you, but what's next? you will continue whine and complain again when you want that so call "pampering" again.“I'm in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we're all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we'll ever have, and I am in love with you.”
I agrees what Hazel says, maybe now you will feel that oblivion is your fear, but one day all of these will not be a thing anymore, it's how you value yourself and you don't need to demean yourself to get attention, there will be people who really cares about you will comfort you. Everyone has their own lives and no one will comfort you FOREVER. You need to learn to stand on your own feet and live with oblivion. That's how lives are made of.
I learnt something new again. Live with oblivion. lol
nah not so negative, i live with strength and hope.
I should stop saying i am ugly and fat anymore lol.
Love and Peace, Fion
